“If you have the motivation and desire to improve your golf game, I really believe that I can help you.”
One of the main reasons I enjoy teaching golf is being able to help people with their games both mentally and physically. I have had the pleasure of working with golf students young and old, male and female, new golfer and experienced golfers. All of these experiences have been extremely challenging and rewarding for me.
First and foremost I am a retired math teacher who taught in the Defiance City Schools for 25 years and Bryan High School for five years. In the past I have also coached golf for 15 years. After a successful amateur golfing career and joining the coaching ranks at the Division III level at Defiance College, I determined that I would give up my amateur status in 2001 to go through the process of becoming a member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals’ Division. This journey in career transitions of teaching has been very rewarding for me. Working with junior golfers has become a priority for me as I am a coach with The First Tee of Lake Erie (in Defiance) and is the Site Director of the LPGA-USGA Jr. Golf program in Defiance. I am returning to the coaching ranks again in 2015 as the Defiance High School girls’ golf coach.
